These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Random ID & Avatar Generator tool (the “Service”) provided by id-generator by Kohdy (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service offers two free utilities:

  • Random Nickname / Game ID Generator: Generates random usernames in three styles (cute, cool, funny) using local JavaScript. No data leaves your device.
  • Avatar Generator: Creates avatar images using the DiceBear API. Your browser directly calls DiceBear’s servers – we do not intermediate or store any images.

3. Use of Third-Party Services

The avatar feature relies on DiceBear’s API. DiceBear is an independent service provider. We are not responsible for:

  • The availability, accuracy, or security of DiceBear’s API.
  • Any content generated by DiceBear (e.g., avatar designs that may contain unexpected elements).
  • DiceBear’s data handling practices (see their privacy policy linked above).

Your use of the avatar generator constitutes acceptance of DiceBear’s own terms of service and privacy policy.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overburden the Service or any third-party API it relies on.
  • Generate avatars or nicknames that are harassing, defamatory, or otherwise violate applicable laws.

5. Intellectual Property

Nickname Generator: The generated names are random combinations of common words and numbers. We claim no ownership over them. You are free to use any generated nickname anywhere.

Avatar Images: Avatars are generated by DiceBear based on their open‑source avatar libraries. Please check DiceBear’s license terms for their avatar sets. Generally, they are free for personal and commercial use, but we do not grant any additional rights.

The id-generator branding, logo, and website design are our property and may not be copied or reused without permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, OR NON‑INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR‑FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

8. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Effective Date”. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where we operate (for simplicity, the laws of the State of Delaware, USA), without regard to its conflict of law principles.
